Audition Workshop: Heavy Lifting
Class Description:
Sometimes when it matters most, our scene partner is just not offering the help we need to establish and play a clear game. Maybe you initiated and your scene partner isn't voice of reasoning, or maybe you responded to an initiation and your scene partner seems to have no premise. You CAN get good at providing your own justifications without being asked, or clearly labeling a game that isn't being provided. We will run exercises that help you learn to handle a scene from your side when necessary, without being a steam roller!

About Laney Serface: Laney is an actor, writer, and the Artistic Director of WGIS. She performs on the house team Small Business at WGIS, Perks at UCB, and Old Milk everywhere. She hosts Old Milk's Form Factory at WGIS and produces Play by Play at UCB. She can often be found brewing a pot of coffee at the WGIS box office.
