Second Draft Seminar
Class Description:
Bring in your sketches or any 3-6 page writing sample and I’ll give you notes! We'll talk about where you reveal your premise, how you play the game, if and how to heighten, and we’ll kick the tires of the underlying logic to make sure the audience will follow wherever you want them to go. All students should have some experience writing sketch (a class, a team, a show). I will give weekly assignments for different styles (stage, short form video, desk piece, etc.) and talk about adapting existing material for different shows’ submission requirements so you’ll have the start of a diverse portfolio by the end of the course.
