Hip Hop Improv
Class Description:
In this class, students will learn the basics of creating a hip hop improv scene. We will dive into various styles of flow and find one that fits each student. There will be exercises to introduce students to rhyming structure, character exploration through rapping, and developing hooks. Students will implement these through long form improv scene work and will be able to perform a montage of scenes including rap.

About RJ Williams: RJ Williams is a seasoned improvisor and educator who taught long-form and hip-hop improv at The Second City New York. His career spans stages across the U.S. and Europe, including annual runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with the acclaimed ensembles Baby Wants Candy and Shamilton. A veteran member of hip-hop improv group North Coast, RJ brings a multidisciplinary background in playwriting, drumming, and music production to his teaching.
