This workshop has started or is in the past.

Class Description: Have you ever found yourself in an improv scene thinking, "Something's missing, but what?" If so, you need The Improviser's Checklist! This workshop will equip you with a focused toolset to analyze scenes and pinpoint exactly what they need to thrive. You'll learn how to identify critical scene elements, such as place, purpose and procedure, and the ever-elusive game that makes a scene click. Let's face it: Sometimes improv scenes flop because we're lost at sea—we may know where we are, but we don't know who we are. Maybe we know our activity, but we don't know why we are doing it, or what to do next. Maybe we had a first unusual thing, but we didn't frame it. Knowing precisely what is missing, will give you something more specific to practice. Ready for some specific, actionable feedback on your scenework? Join us for The Improviser's Checklist!
