Advanced Flow: Game and Mapping - SOLD OUT
Class Description:
This is an ADVANCED CLASS on doing PREMISE IMPROV and HEIGHTENING.
No warmups. We do an opening, pull premise and do second beats.
We will talk about if there is an UNUSUAL THING, and what the JUSTIFICATION is. If it's a WEIRD WORLD we'll talk about what the MAPPING is. If you're being a VOICE OF REASON, we'll make sure you are EMOTIONALLY INVESTED and GENTLY CHALLENGING people.
This will be a kind but thinky class. Be ready!
You must have experience with the Harold format. Five classes at any long-form theater required, or two years on any house team at a long-form theater. Email classes@wgimprovschool.com to ask for exceptions.
Final class is Monday of Thanksgiving week.

About Will Hines: Will is a founder of WGIS. He has been teaching long-form improv since 2004 at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, at both its New York and Los Angeles branches. He's published a best-selling book on improv called How to Be The Greatest Improviser on Earth. He's also a working comedic actor and has appeared on many terrific television programs (Brooklyn 99) and on some big podcasts (Comedy Bang-Bang) as well as the 99 podcasts he's produced himself (including Screw It We're Just Gonna Talk about the Beatles).
